I’ll
do this as a test. Depending of the feedback ~if it exists~ I
continue.

“撲殺HERO”
can be translated like “annihilator
hero”.
Bokusatsu
is written with the kanjis of 撲(hit)
殺(kill)
more literally something like “the
hero who beats until killing”.
This
is a light single, with good lyrics and pleasant to hear. What
escapes from their standard, who usually to have more critic lyrics
and heavy songs.
The
single comes in the classical progression from high to low. On the
whole it's a good single, makes it clear that they are experimenting
with new things and trying not to lose their essence.
The
track two of this single deserves a special look, ヘドロママ
(hedoromama)
comes with an electronic element what they usually don’t use on
their
compositions. And it was a good bet, the music brings something like
an internal dialog, a great mental confusion, demands a rhythm that
has been totally supplied by the instrumental. Has been faster as it
needed to be, to transmit how is the feel of the insecurity inside
the mind of who lives it.
Talking
about “hello”,
it surprised me during the translation process, not exactly because
of the content of the lyric, but because how it was said. Something
that, maybe, just reading directly of Japanese makes sense: that is
the uncertainty it expresses, I have already saw this in another
songs, but, the way he expresses sounds me very personal, something
that can easily bring a sense of identification to the listener.
幸福のメロディー
(koufuku
no merody)
is a easy to understand criticism, reinforces the theme of the single
that looks to be “incertainties",
something of the perpective of a jealous one, that everything he
wanted was to be happy. The MV emphatizes the envy very well, envy
which seems to have come from not knowing what to prioritize.
The
last track of the single, 遭難
(sounan),
which is the re-recording of the re-recording, as it came from
another release, is a slightly dense one, in this version came only
with vocal and piano, which marries very well with the lyrics music
which
is very sad.
And
you? What you think about the single?
