Translator
notes:
IMPORTANT:
I did not take the official translation into consideration! “Aah
JeZ that lack of respect”, “aah but it's different”, “ah but
the meaning of that phrase is wrong”. Please
take both translations into consideration, in my translations
here for the blog I always try to bring more than just words
transported from one language to another, my goal is to bring ideas
written in Japanese to other languages so that everyone understands
the MESSAGE the way it was said and, generally, official translations
do not do this, however it is always important to take into account
the artist's interest in bringing official translations.
Any
criticism and / or correction is welcome in the comment section or
private messages through the channels that is available on the blog.

these verses were inverted from the original order for the
translation sound better in English.
Parts
in italics are adaptations.
1.
The translation of the line was strange in this part, huh? I think he
sings ここから(koko
kara) instead of このまま(kono
mama) that appears in the booklet. If I were to adapt what is written
on the booklet, I would put the stanza like this “I felt that time
stopped [when] / finally someone took this hand, / take
me with you but let me keep being the
way I am”.
According
on what he sings is simple “take me from this
place”.

2.
In this part he also seems to sing in a different way than what
appears in the booklet. If I got it right, in the second verse
instead of "nazeka", he repeats "dokoka". So what
he sings would be "[there is] a sweet scent of ivy, somewhere
far away".

ki
ga tsui tara te wo hikaretete
If
you notice, my hand is being pulled
I
came to notice my hand was being pulled
I
will take advantage of this line to say that in Japanese, the subject
is usually defined by the context, this means that it
is not usually explicit (and this applies to all music, and all
translations of the blog). In this verse you will not find a subject,
but from the context I
think
the persona
is
talking to someone else, so I chose "if you notice". Even
because, I don't think "if I notice" makes any
sense
(and it is almost certain that there is a conditional "if"
because in Japanese there is a "tara",
way to express condition).

4.
omou ga mama watashi wo takitsukete
I
am being instigated to do the things the way I want to
Set
me ablaze to your satisfaction
Keep
in mind the vocabulary:
omou
ga mama:
to one's heart's content or satisfaction
watashi:
I; me
wo:
particle that indicates direct object of action
takitsukete:
1. to kindle; to build a fire; 2. to instigate; to stir up; to incite
-
In the official translation they chose for “takitsukete”
the meaning to kindle, and I chose to instigate.
-
In the official translation they reduced the sense of “omou ga
mama” to satisfaction, which is an ok, but in my opinion, putting
only that make the real meaning of the Japanese phrase too
suppressed.
-
On my translation I did as “the things the way I
want to” because in my interpretation is what the persona intends
to say to a third person (lit. “I
am being instigated to do things in a way that satisfies my heart”),
but as I said before, the subject is not explicit in the whole
context of the music, this means that other ways of translating this
line can be
“I'm
being instigated to
do
the things
on
a way that satisfy
someone's heart / someone else (/ satisfy your / my heart)”,
“You
light me / I
kindle myself
/ you/I
set
fire on me to be satisfied / satisfy
someone”,
etc.
