The heaven is covered with mud, [but] will be the paradise if you live there
MEKKI ga hageta hibi wo seoi tanchouna baseidomo wo kurae

Scratching the wounds to proceed, so, all the reality stands before the eyes

and than, here and now, bathing in this light, pledge not to divert the eyes to this waving future

Translator notes:

(↑↓) these verses were inverted from the original order for the translation sound better in English.
Parts in italics are adaptations.

¹ When he says “with eyes open” he uses the word “こじ開 け” (kojiake). This word is linked to break-ins, which he says may have a tone such as "jump and open your eyes, even forcibly" or "dive and break your eyes so that they are open". The word appears on jisho.org with the meanings: 1. to wrench open; to prize open; to pick (lock)

²
2.1 → 手 探りの未来 (tesaguri no mirai) doesn’t literally mean “uncertain future”, I adapted it to sound better; “Tesaguri” can mean “fumbling; groping”.

2.2 → it may be obvious, but when he says "tremble at an uncertain future" he refers to fear, a possible adaptation: "if you fear and stay still at an uncertain future, you can stay as you are."

~ I want to review this album when you finish translating it, stay tuned if you are interested :)
